Doors & Windows

We are always coming and going. Stepping over a new threshold is a kind of small miracle; where are not now where we were before. Doorways and time are inextricably linked, though not always congruent. Some windows look upon the past and some doorways take us into the future. Some have such import that passage through them changes our lives or may signal our death. Some portals open for us, and some remain shut. When my view through a window or doorway is partially obscured, or when I am locked out, I start to dream…
