Weaving
I took up weaving in 2015, right after I separated from Yaro. I’d never worked with yarn before and had no idea it could be so seductive. I quickly got addicted to weaving on a rigid heddle room and when I visited the States I brought a small loom with me and made scarves for my friends and family while I stayed with them. Weaving opened up a whole new world of technique. The colors and patterns are endless and I made scores of scarves and shawls in a very short time, trying new techniques every time. Eventually, I moved to an 8-shaft table loom, which has languished during the pandemic. I haven’t woven anything since March of 2020, but I have hopes of picking it up again.
